Substitution Level B Vol. 1 – Children help Carlos create new words for his message in a bottle using substitution in this free phonemic awareness lesson. First, students say a word, then Carlos describes which sounds to replace, and last students choose the new word the sounds make. Words like fly and fry, damp and ramp, cute and cube are reviewed. Substitution of beginning, middle and ending sounds are included.
Rhyming Level B Vol. 1 – In this free phonemic awareness lesson, kids create their own poems to practice rhyming! Children are given lines of a poem and are prompted to select lines that rhyme to build out the poem. In the end, students can watch their poem come to life. Play this lesson multiple times to create unique poems.
Blending Level A Vol. 1 – Children will take a trip to China in this additional free phonemic awareness lesson, where they make dumplings by sounding out the words on each dumpling. Students practice blending techniques to make words like soap, rain, seed, and mice.
Isolation Level A Vol. 1 – This free phonemic awareness lesson will help your children practice isolating beginning sounds. Students accompany Simon to the doctor to practice isolating the beginning sound of human body words like mouth, neck, chest, foot, and more.
Rhyming – Level A – Vol. 1 -This free phonemic awareness lesson helps kids learn and practice their rhyming skills by finding words with similar ending sounds to build a song. During the conclusion of the lesson, children sing along to a song containing all the rhyming words they found.
