Time Vol. 1 – Students spend a day with Jamar and learn about time in this free measurement lesson. The goal is to introduce kindergarten children to the concept of time using familiar, real-life events such as waking up for school. Children begin interacting within the first few seconds of the lesson. Clocks, shaped like fun characters, are presented in a non-threatening environment.

Money Level 1 Vol. 1 – Supplement your money unit with this free measurement lesson. Children join Natalia at the pet store where they compare, count, and spend coins such as quarters, half-dollars, dimes, nickels, and dollars. This lesson also helps students practice counting by 2’s, 5’s, 10’s, and 100. After correctly counting their coins, children decide which item is most affordable based on the money they have – a crucial real world skill for young learners!

Money Level 2 Vol. 1 – This free measurement lesson teaches young children the value of a dollar, literally! Carlos is at the pet store and needs help making his purchases. Children count and compare coins and bills using mixed counting to one dollar or more. During each purchase, students must select the wallet with the correct amount of money to pay for each object.

Measurement Tools Weight Level 3 Vol. 1 – In this free measurement lesson, children learn how to use a balance scale to determine relative weight in pounds and ounces. Children take a trip to the county fair and help with the berry picking contest where they must use a virtual balance scale and pound and ounce weights to weigh the baskets of berries.

Measurement Tools Length Level 4 Vol. 1 – Help your children learn to use a ruler to measure with this free measurement lesson. Students use virtual rulers with inches and centimeter units. Interactive tools allow the student to select their units, rotate their ruler, and drag to measure objects of various lengths. Answers are reported to the fraction of an inch or centimeter. This real-world skill is a must!

Measurement Tools, Angles Level 5 Vol. 1 – Virtual protractors make angle measurements come to life in this free measurement lesson. Children use the protractor to help Dudley the Dog find his buried treasures and practice measuring angles. Students can rotate, flip, drag and adjust the protractor in order to measure each angle. This is good practice in choosing the appropriate side of the protractor when measuring angles.
